Sidewalk & Walkway Installation Services in NY & CT
Concrete sidewalks, paver walkways, NYC DOT-compliant repair across all five boroughs, Westchester, and Fairfield County.
Sidewalks are infrastructure with real liability attached. NYC property owners are legally responsible for sidewalk condition. Westchester and Fairfield County towns have strict spec requirements. A failing slab is a trip-and-fall waiting to happen. JL Construction Group has been NY and CT's trusted sidewalk and walkway installation contractor since 1999, with 25+ years of code-compliant work across NYC's five boroughs, every Westchester town, and every Fairfield County village.
We handle the full range — DOT violation cures, residential front walks, paver walkways, commercial sidewalk installations, code-compliant repairs. Our crews are dialed in for the spec requirements that matter: thickness, slope, expansion joints, ADA compliance, drainage.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long do I have to repair an NYC DOT sidewalk violation?
75 days from notice. Past that, NYC can perform the work and bill you at significant markup — typically 2-3x private contractor pricing.
Do you handle the DOT permit and paperwork for NYC sidewalks?
Yes. We pull all required DOT permits, Diary 6 consent, and coordinate pre- and post-inspections.
How long does sidewalk concrete take to cure?
24-48 hours for pedestrian use; 7 days before vehicle traffic. We protect the area for the cure period.
How long does a concrete sidewalk last?
25-40 years with proper base preparation and expansion joints. Bluestone and paver walks can last considerably longer.
Can I match new sidewalk material to my home's existing stonework?
Yes. We routinely match new bluestone, brick, or paver work to original masonry — color, finish, and grade.
Do you handle ADA-compliant sidewalk work?
Yes. ADA compliance — slope, width, paths of travel, accessible ramps — is standard for all our commercial and public-frontage work.
What's the difference between sidewalk and walkway?
Sidewalk is the public-frontage walking surface (typically code-regulated). Walkway is private property — front walks, paths through gardens, etc. Different spec requirements.
